Design experience
GPR WPG‘s subcontractors are responsible to design the control system hardware to meet the needs of the project and the customer. These sub contractors have many years of collective system design experience.
Electrical capabilities
GPR WPG’s subcontractors have over 30 electricians tasked to build and install control and power systems on our equipment and on a retrofit basis. They manufacture our control and power systems in at their facility where we 100% the panels with Flextime before shipping.
Hardware of choice
For most projects, GPR WPG selects Allen Bradley or Siemens for all control and power components.
PLC models
The majority of our systems utilize Allen Bradley Compact Logix or Siemens 3xx PLCs. These mid-range PLC series provides high reliability, accuracy, and power in an affordable package.
For larger projects, GPR WPG will utilize Allen Bradley Control Logix or Siemens 4xx PLCs. These units are more expensive than the mid-range PLC hardware, but are capable of higher I/O counts and can be purchased with redundant processors.
UL and other codes
GPR WPG‘s control systems are designed and built to exacting standards. They are not only ISO 9000 certified, but also UL508 panels. For our European customers, we design and build to CE standards.
PC hardware
GPR WPG utilizes Dell as our preferred PC supplier. Each PC is fully tested by an GPR WPG controls engineer.
